A lever/lever handle is a contemporary door handle that is designed to fit new or replacement doors. This style of door handle is available in a variety of styles & finishes. This handle is offered by a number of manufacturers including Avocet ERA Fullex Hoppe Mila Millenco Yale.

The uPVC/Composite handles are made of tough materials and are ideal for doors with multiple points that need a heavy-duty design. The handles are inline and work with the same spindle as well as screw fixings so they can be easily fitted to existing or new upvc chrome door handles/Composite doors.

The handle can be positioned and angled to fit any user. The handle has been tested to 200,000 cycles, this will ensure the quality of the finish as well as the performance of the handle over time. The lever that springs is adjustable to accommodate a wide range of locks. This is useful in doors that are narrower, where the cylinder is further back from the door. Lever Pad

The finish is compliant with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, which gives the handle a high degree of durability and performance for its intended use.

A euro cylinder must be measured accurately to ensure it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn should there be one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but when this isn't possible, you can take it off to measure. It is essential to ensure that there is no extension of the cylinder beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to lock snapping attacks.

Most modern cylinders are designed with anti-drill and bump resistance features built into their design. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This will help to stop the attack and protect your doors.

There are also cylinders that are made to resist snapping. This is an increasingly common kind of attack on cylinders, which is where the break line of the lock is smashed with a special tool to break the front of the cylinder and allow the door to be opened. This is a quicker and simpler method to gain access than using the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the burglary which can hinder insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found inside the base plate of your door handle. It offers a spring-loaded solution to help return the multipoint lock handles to their normal position after usage. The handles were previously equipped with no spring, and would slide when the locking mechanism was disconnected. The addition of this simple element is among the best ways to correct this and it is also an effective way to keep your upvc doors from getting stuck in an open or closed position, since they are not always easy to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes are specially designed to be used with sprung multipoint locks, they will not fit non-sprung multipoint handles. You will require a bespoke hole cut into your backplate in order for them to fit (please look at the image for a technical diagram). They are a replacement for existing broken or missing cassettes in the backplates of door handles of numerous brands of uPVC doors. They are available as a single unit. They come with a square cut out that is able to accommodate an 8mm shaft.
